![]() I wonder if the lasers can get old and weak. Maybe another way: A 1 lighthouse setup in A mode without a sync cable attached should give a fix every 17 ms. If the lighthouse quits working entirely, the update has found the motor is performing out of spec. There's a (bad) way to check for a failing lighthouse. Maybe it's bluetooth interference from a new gizmo in the room? Unplug your link box power for a few seconds to reset it. If your HMD tracks ok, controllers are the first thing I'd check. I wouldn't expect both controllers to develop loose cables at the same moment, however. if this could be the issue, you could open them up and check all cables. Banging a controller into something can loosen internal ribbon connectors. ![]() Originally posted by saaya: in VR space they continue on their trajectory for half a second The controller is only getting a fix every 500 milliseconds? That's way off. I reset the base stations and steamvr and my pc several times I tried different USB ports for the vive breakout box I made sure the floor isnt reflective by adding 2 yoga mats I plugged in the sync cable instead of using optical sync, this improved things, but didnt solve the issue the controllers also jitter around and seem to disappear and reappear for a fraction of a second.ģ - controller movements are exaggerated, when shake or rotate the controllers slightly back and forth by only a few mm, in VR the controllers turn/spin/move much more than they do in the real world. Im pretty sure the tracking worked a lot better when i first got my HTC vive 3 years ago, and then slowly got worse and worse, but maybe im wrong?ġ - when i stand in the center of my playspace and push both controllers against my headset and hold them still, i can see them jitter around and drift around slightlyĢ - when i do the same and then turn in place, rotating on a vertical axis, the controllers merge with one another and drift in and out each other or away from each other, sometimes by as much as 10cm. literally the floor is rocking back and forth everytime you turn the camera left or right. Is this just the limitation of the lighthouse tracking system? This gives the feeling that your on a boat rocking back and forth making game unplayable. I have tried everything to fix and nothing works. It should not do this, if I put controls on keyboard and mouse the mouse will not shift the entire screen when I move left or right. Why it started doing the next play after working fine I have no idea. I have set controller config to "force off" and it still persists which leads me to believe the problem is not in the config at all. I have tried various configs made by the community and its always the same. I moved all the settings back to how they were, I've tried ps4 controllers, xbox series controllers and they all do the same thing. Now when turning the camera left or right the the screen tilts when I stop turning. I am not talking about the drift or the head bob but this never happened until I turned the anti-deadzone down to fix the drift. So I don't know why game is doing this but it is vomit inducing.
